I have wonderful memories of our trip west when my son was 10 (I was expecting daughter at that time). He particularly enjoyed the cowboy stuff, but wasn't so big on scenery.

I remember looking back at him while we were driving through beautiful mountain passes and asking him why he was reading a Hardy Boys mystery.

"Well, mom, you've seen one mountain, you've seen them all."

LOL!

You will have a wonderful time.

We were havening the exact same conversation in the car on our family trips out West. Even very late in their lives, my parents would still tease my sister and I about the fact that they couldn't get our noses out of the Nancy Drew books, when we reached the Grand Canyon!
