Ok, I'm going to put up the lap-top and finish ironing and go to bed. It's time.

God bless us all. Each, and every one.

LOL! "Don't do that." That was just about the response that tester received. One has to weigh if a customer will see the defect, or if they have to go through contortions to see the defect. Of course, we don't want any software to go out with defects, but then reality sets in. :)

That's terrific that you've already found such a good prospect for the office! It's going to be quite a change for you, having to leave the house ... no more working in your bathrobe I assume?

Re the graphics, I must confess that I've been spending longer than I should looking around and exploring but it's been fun, especially when the really cute/good ones turn up. My library (bookmarked favorites) of "stolen" material has really grown!

Re vacation, we'll be leaving early Wednesday, Aug. 21 and back Sunday, Aug. 25th. Are you looking forward to resuming the honors? If you need a longer break, let me know and I can continue to carry on for awhile when we return.

I'm waiting for son to get back after taking his girlfriend home and then I'll turn in for the night. Sweet dreams, Kay. *hugs*

Replying to 176, What a shame to go to the old neighborhood and find how society has spiraled down. Once where families lived, laughed and loved, is now a place where 14 and 15 year olds can prostitute themselves. Sheeesh.

#176....lysander, I understand how you feel, but our world has changed greatly (& not always for the better)

The idyllic childhood you remember, I share as well.

My neighborhood was everything a child would want or need.

Just a quiet, middleclass, homey place where most of the moms stayed home, and had time to be involved in the local school's PTA.

It's idyllic in our minds, because it was truly idyllic then.

I had the freedom of several blocks to play in.....no one worried about children being snatched......
...our doors weren't always locked....and there was a wonderful innocence in our daily lives.

One block away from my home was a private Christian school, and less than a mile away were numerous churches.

I walked 5 blocks to school......gradeschool!

The house we lived in had been ours since the 1940's---(my Grandmother bought & lived in it with Grandfather)

But hon, today that same neighborhood has been given over to drugs & prostitution.

The little schooll I went to is sad & pitiful.

Sweetie, I think it's true.......one can never go home again.

Those wonderful memories can only remain alive in our minds.

Indeed illstillbe, how times have changed.

Now moms warn their kiddoes...'don't talk to strangers'....and look with distrust upon adults who are friendly to their kids.

When I was little, little.....there was a kindly couple in our church...they were childless.....and the old gentleman kinda adopted me when I was there.

Every single Sunday, he brought me a little bag of candy...(I loved it!)

There was nothing sinister to it......

But nowadays, folks would wonder.

I use to love seeing babies in supermarkets & shopping, and going up to 'ohhh & ahhh'.....

...but now, I wonder if moms are not receptive & the mindset of today has me hesitating to say anything anymore!!
