Fort Sill is quite an interesting place... 2/80th was where the women were. I was in C 1/22.. But female officers could be found anywhere..............

....As a few of my platoon found when one walked into our barracks to speak to Drill Sgt. Harrison... while they were coming from the latrine to get their towels. (Picture it: bunch of 'army green' types in their birthday suits.. a female major walks in through the doors.) Needless to say, a few guys did the duck& cover rather than going to attention. the rest did silly things like throwing their towels over their heads.
Like that would protect their identities.

Marine Corps Boot Camp is not co-ed and never will be. One GREAT thing about the Marine Corps is that we really don't give a "Cr*p" about PC...(politically correct).

The USMC is the most chauvinistic of all the services and I dare say the toughest. Just watch the documentary on our Boot Camp and you will get a real good idea of how "polite" we are with recruits..We do not suffer fools...we do not baby recruits...and they are not entitled to be called Marines until they complete all of recurit training and graduate.

Yes, Women Marines are persistent. You cannot be a wallflower or a timid individual and survive let alone succeed in the Marine Corps. By the same token, respect and courteous behaviour is expected.
