NORTHERN EXPOSURE. I loved that program. Ditto.
Besides Ken Burn's "The Civil War"; it was the only thing I ever taped from TV.

Wasn't that Otis something or other? That sketch of the suspect in that college kids murder a couple of years ago is pretty creepy too. Not to mention he knew the kid's father! Where are the investigative reporters???

"The child porno bust just this week included two people identified from San Diego. One named Rowland, and the identified not by name but only as former SD law enforcement. Take it from there.""The child porn ring busT started Jan 27th when the first guy, Brooke Rowland was arrested. The second was arrested Feb 18th (gee, around the time Danielle's body may have been dumped) and he was from POWAY.
Here is the article. Brooke Rowland was from Poway, and the other man was Paul Whitmore, a child and family counselor.

Two San Diego men allegedly linked to child pornography ring
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Two men arrested on child molestation and child pornography charges were part of an international ring uncovered by a Swedish watchdog group, authorities said.
Paul Whitmore of San Diego pleaded innocent Wednesday to 23 counts of child molestation and child pornography charges involving two girls ages 10 and 13. He is being held on $2 million bail.
Brooke Rowland, 40, of Poway is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on similar charges involving five children. He is being held on $1 million bail.
San Diego District Attorney Paul Pfingst said Whitmore, a child and family counselor, allowed Rowland to abuse one of the girls he allegedly molested.
``They're exchanging kids,'' Pfingst said.

I don't think they passed anything. Personally, I don't believe anything they have said.

If I could figure out what you are asking me, I would answer you.
I did not ask you,I suggested you hop on over to the police.
The police did lie detector test on the parents and Westerfield, thought eveyone know that-that was not a question hop so do not answer.

His name was Ottis Toole. He was a convicted serial killer. Again, he kept souveniers of his victims, there wasn't any evidence found, (he confessed to killing Adam and recanted) to indicate he was Adam's killer. As far as I know the case is still open/unsolved. Did anyone find the files that were released about this case in 1996? If so, did they have the names of any of the juveniles involved?
Not only did the composite sketch of the suspect in the disapearance of the college boy look like DVD, it was another case that involved video games.

Lie-Detector Specialist: Westerfield 'Deceptive'
Tests Inadmissible In Court
Posted: 12:39 p.m. PDT April 12, 2002
Updated: 12:50 p.m. PDT April 12, 2002
SAN DIEGO -- A lie-detector specialist who interviewed a man accused of kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Danielle van Dam was convinced that the defendant was "deceptive," court documents show.

The interview occurred two days after the girl was reported missing from her home. After an exhaustive search involving hundreds of volunteers, Danielle's body was found along a rural road more than three weeks later.
Paul Redden, who conducted the interview, was "convinced the defendant was deceptive when he stated he was not in any way responsible for Danielle's disappearance," according to court documents filed Thursday by prosecutors.
It was unclear whether a polygraph test was actually administered because many of the key details in the documents have been blacked out.
David Westerfield, 50, who lives near the van Dam family, has pleaded innocent to kidnapping, murder and child-pornography charges. His trial is scheduled for May 17.
Court documents show that Westerfield signed a consent form before he was interviewed and the conversation was recorded. Within hours of the interview, police obtained a warrant to search Westerfield's home more thoroughly than they had in a prior visit.
Police have said that DNA evidence links Westerfield to the crime, but have not publicly confirmed that he underwent a lie-detector test. Those tests are not admissible in court, but police often use them to pressure or rule out suspects.

If you don't like the subject, why are you on this thread?
My thanks to Fresno and the other freepers that have been so diligent in finding info and posting it for all of us. Your efforts are appreciated by most of us.

Does anyone know if the blood on the bean bag chair was tested for DNA? Results if any?I believe they said the blood was Danielle's. What I find very strange is Danielle had piled her bean bag chair on her bed that night.

Fatima, you are going to a lot of trouble trying to tell me that DW flunked a polygraph. Please read what you just posted. No confirmation on a polygraph. If you want to believe it, fine. DW had an interview with Redden. Redden thought he was deceptive. And this was because Redden believed BVD and whatever lies she told him. IMO

Dread,I dread writing your name,I am a bad girl and did not pass my one and only lie detector ,they had to do some research but proved me right and I was part of security. Yoda-speak ? Okay then.
My experience:
Joined the US Navy as a Poseidon Missle Tech (requires high math scores and Secret clearance).
Recruiter calls back. No Missile Tech. I had a record for underage beer drinking. (no secret clearance for dread !).
But ! Math score meet the higher Sonar qualification (and we'll take any Sub volunteer we can lay our hands on).
Okay, I go thru boot, sub school, and several sonar schools. Then I hit the Fleet for 6 years.
I left with a "Top Secret" clearance.
At no time did I ever take a "polygraph". This "lie detector" test is mystical BS for the flock. The Scientologists have a better line of crap.
To: fatima
see post 995. If you don't understand the difference between an interview and a polygraph, I can't help you.
