Hi guys--I know a lot of us think that BVD and DW were more than just acquaintances. I found this in PH transcripts. ------ D: How many "personal contacts" with DW, excluding waving to him in neighborhood. Where you had a chance to either "talk with him or be with him IN A LOCATION?" BVD: 5 to 6 times. First contact was selling GS cookies a year ago.------- D: Do you remember next contact? BVD: No.------- D: What's the next time that stands out in your mind? BVD: Jan. 25 at Dad's. Didn't know his first or last name. He bought us drinks.

She's obviously lying. He lived two doors down, had lived there for years, she had taken his name down more than once for the girl scout cookies, and suddenly she had no idea what his name was?

I think the bleached blonde hairs in various places and the unidentified prints from the black Toyota 4-Runner with California license plate 4SFN016 give a lot of credence to Feldman's implication in the opening and closing statements.

I don't know. As a parent myself, it makes me more disgusted with the VDs that they invited total strangers home with their children there to have sex parties. As a parent, I ask myself "Would I lie to the police when my child was missing? Would I even be thinking about CYA at a time like that?" As a parent, their behvior waves the major red flags for me.

I agree with you on all of this. I am a divorced parent with two kids in their early 20's. I have done some stupid things in my life. I can relate to both sides.

Well, maybe I can. It's a bit of a stretch to relate to the vD's. I try to in my mind, but I can't quite get there.

My inability to get there keeps bringing back to the vD's as "something is wrong here". To say the least, their part in all this stinks. It smells worse than a skunk.

As I have said in some previous posts, I think the porn evidence should have been excluded as blatantly prejudicial, and the vD "lifestyle" evidence should have been allowed in as the basis for an alternate theory of how the crime might have occured. If nothing else, it would have helped the jury get the whole, accurate picture of what was going on in the vD home at the time.

We're talking a cocaine dealer and who-knows-who-else coming and going from the house at all times of day and night. All kinds of prints, fibers, hairs, and DNA all over Danielle's bedroom. Not including DW's, however.

Nothing gets matched to anybody, Danielle included. Then the bedroom immediately gets meticulously cleaned, carpet-shampooed, and repainted.

To me, this is all very relevant to a determination of whether DW should be deemed by the jury to be guilty. I think it should have all been allowed in as evidence that the crime could have occured -- and most likely did occur -- some other way.

Brenda claims not knowing DW's name but let's him buy her and her girlfriends several drinks. During Duh-knees' cross exam Feldman refers to DW as "Westerfield" and "MR. Westerfield." Duh-Knees refers to him a couple of times as "Dave." There is absolutely no way these "girls" didn't know him on a very friendly basis. I also think that Brenda had the hots for him and was jealous because he seemed to like Barbara. She knew he was going to be at Dad's on Feb.1st and she made darn sure she was there.

My hope is for acquital yesterday, but my gut tells me that the jury taking their oaths very seriously -- holding up their end. They will not decide the case lightly.

They will pour over evidence for the rest of this week. If you are biting nails now, stop and let them grow back!

Debate within the jury will not in earnest until about Tuesday the 20th. Put me down for a verdict Friday, 8/23 at 4:45 pm Pacific time.

Agreed. It's so maddening that Mudd wouldn't let Feldman put on a case that would implicate the VD's in any way.
