Don’t expect comedian Judith Lucy to ask Joan Rivers for her beauty secrets. “I was really terrified when I saw Joan Rivers up close,” Lucy told the Illawarra Mercury.
“We were standing on the stage and she was saying ‘The lights are too bright, you’re standing too close, you can only shoot from the waist up’.
“When I got a bit closer I realized what all the fuss was about. I don’t want to get too graphic, but it looked like some kind of miscarriage that had somehow been molded into a face and had make-up fired at it by a cannon. It was the most alarming thing I’ve seen.”
