Yes, mine slept the same way. The first time I'd seen him like that, I thought he'd died! LOL He was a very good "watch cat", it amazed me. (This had been my first experience with owning a cat.)

I just loved all the Maine Coon stories. They reminded me so much of my cat. She was a kitten living at the church and being fed by the organist. I first saw her on Christmas Eve in 1968. The lady insisted I take her home. |
| I name her Potato Face (those that know me will be able to recogize me without my handle now). I had her before husband and children. I was married with one child when we moved into a 2 story home. The German Shepherd across the street decided to check us out several days after we moved in. I'd have given anything if cam corders were in use in those days. Anyway, I opened the door to the garage and Potato Face saw the dog. She charged out the door and the next thing I knew she was riding him out of the garage. That dog was making a terrible noise. Potato Face jumped off. She lived 20 years and died in 1988. About 4 years ago I heard a lonely meow across the street the day after Christmas. I was adopted. The cat is so large I'm sure he must be part Maine Coon. We named him Henceforth. |
