I'm from arguably the most conservative state in the US...Idaho...Sens Larry Craig, and Mike Crapo, and Congressmen Mike Simpson and Butch Otter...all conservative Republicans. Their silence is deafening. Maybe because I'm pretty removed from the news of Idaho politics, I'm not aware of all the good things these guys are doing??

When former US senator and current governor Dirk Kempthorne was trying to overhaul the endangered species act, in a town meeting I asked him directly why he wasn't doing more? He said it was impossible to roll back...next question?

It seems the DC environment is so poisoned with the system, these guys all just decide to play the game, or the good ones get fed up and drop out.

Shouldn't you be mopping up a diesel spill with paperwork, rather than breaking my funkle????

;^)

Of the four congresscritters you listed, Otter is the only one who still has my respect....and I'm not following him even much anymore.

The damn responses you get from these turkeys is unbelievable.....write to one about trade and get a response regarding the flag; write another and he assures you he knows all the problems yet votes for the garbage.

Townhall meeting here with Larry Craig....as he paced back and forth in front of he, he was wringing his hands and lamenting about "King Williams" lands as it pertains to public lands!!!

As it pertains to NAFTA---'we, er they didn't have a chance to read and fully digest all the implications before they voted for this; they realize it has to be in operation 5 years before they can revisit these areas'.

You are, of course, correct about Kempthorne and ESA--spineless.

Simpson is in la la land concerned with power and kissing presidential butts.

And there's a lot more on Craig and Kempthorne.....like 'standing up for lands issues', yet letting a voice vote pass giving Utah $$$$$$ for fedgov screwups. And neither one could be bothered with the mining operation in CA that was being squeezed out by the EPA and 26 other government agencies because there was a 'fresh water' spill in the desert that might affect a tortoise's habitat!!
