No - I'm not sure the friend from Florida was ever identified by name, but it's a male friend of Damon's from when he lived here as a teenager/young adult.

This friend apparently went to California after Danielle's disappearance to offer moral support to Damon. He is the person who went on Damon's wild ride through the desert in the blue van to "hand out flyers" on the 16th of February (coincidentally the same day Faulkner says the body was dropped at Dehesa).

They always call everyone (including the media) in if
the jury has any question(s).

The guy who rode with Damon in the blue van on around 2/16 to pass out flyers in the area where Danielle was ventually found.

Before a verdict is reached, I want to reiterate something I said on another thread a couple of weeks ago. I stated to somebody, whose name escapes me, that if Westerfield is acquitted outright at this trial, that I would make a donation to FR. If he is convicted at this trial, I hope some of you here who were so sure he would be acquitted will make a donation to FR. Hung juries, appeals, new trials, etc. don't count.

I hope he's convicted, and if he isn't--well, then at least FR will benefit.

I have to disagree with you. A verdict this soon could only
mean Not Guilty. Why?...because at least one juror would
have to have second thoughts concerning the Bug evidence.

You're right. It would require days of deliberating
before a jury could call themselves "hung". I've seen
a jury go for almost 3 weeks & still reached a verdict.

Judge would NEVER accept a hung jury on the first day.

They aren't going to agree he is guilty. It will be the fault of the corrupt judge, the stupid jury, and the boring prosecutor.
