Attention to body rather than immediate dumping, possible keeping of her alive for a week or 10 days, ...indicates against a stranger perp and argues for an inside job. DW would be a stranger perp if the prosecution is correct.

I was wondering if anyone else caught that. For people that say, "she was just tossed out on the side of the road like yesterdays trash." The evidence shows us differant. It shows that the killer did have feelings for her. They covered her up, either to keep flies away from her or because they maybe could not bear to look at her. This is shrouding and most people learn at a young age that it is appropriate to cover a body after death and before burial. (anyone remember their favorite pet dying?)
After a time, when the fear of being found out is greater than their greif, and they know that the body is going to smell and be found with whatever was put on it for cover. They have to put it out and they did so in such a way that it would fit the accused. No cover nude, not buried.

I was just checking trial transcripts. Damon says that when he went to say goodnight to Danielle she was already in bed with the covers all the way up to her neck so he didn't see what she had on. Something is very wrong here.

what's up with the westerfield defenders. how would you explain daniell's bllod on his jacket? fingerprint and hair on his bed in the van. dumping his clothing at the dry cleaners first thing monday AM. is your revulsion of the van dammes lifestyle eliminate westerfield as the murderer? this man is a sexual deviant who raped, then murdered this child. what normal man gets off on porn depicting a child being raped and sodomized by adults. he used danielle to make his sick fantasies a reality.

Shezza, can't be said enough.If anybody wants to join me in praying for the jury during deliberations, I'm going to set aside some time every day. The two or more gathered together principle, don't ya know.

I'm thinking the jury deliberations, since they're not going to be sequestered, may begin daily around 9:00 Pacific Time, which would be 10 am Mountain, 11 am Central, and noon Eastern time. So that's when I'll be praying. Noon my time. You are all welcome to join me.

Lord, grant these twelve jurors great wisdom to understand all the testimony they have heard over the past two months, and the clarity of mind to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Give them strength to endure, and fill them with a sense of honor and integrity, and the desire to do what is right.

May You shine the light of truth into the darkness of their confusion, that the jurors will discern honesty from those who bear false witness against their neighbor.

Although You say "Justice is Mine," may You see fit to allow justice for Danielle here on this earth, that her death may not lead to the death of other innocents.

We pray that truth will prevail, and that the sword of justice will weigh heavily on those who would use it falsely to bring glory to themselves.

I happen to have close family that is LE, but it doesn't blind me to the fact that LE and DA's are just as flawed as any other group in society.

Not to trash on your family, but I think that they are MORE dangerous than any other group in society because they are given so much power to screw with other people if they feel like it. Power corrupts!

Those particular questions were posed, BTW, because they quickly show , by your answers, whether you have knowledge of both sides of the case, or whether you have mainly a CTV provided scenario of the case. Guess which you have?

This thought just came to me:

Danielle was theoretically abducted with her pjs on. At least that's what Brenda claims. She even displayed a duplicate pair that was supposedly worn by Danielle's little friend during sleepovers.

If DW abducted her, wouldn't pj fibers be present in DW's home, RV, or MH that would match the identical pair Brenda described?

What troubles me is exactly what you wrote..only because of Samantha's Mother blaming the Jury for letting the man go, who killed her child. The Jury will be influenced by this...how can they not be?

i really believe westerfield is guilty and the jury will as well. the absolute clincher for me is the indisputable fact that danielle's blood was found on the right hand side shoulder of westerfields' jacket. i haven't allowed my emotions to cloud my opinion...it's the facts m'am. and BTW, i hardly approve of the van damme's lifestyle but at most they were negligent and they'll feel guilty for that as long as they live. BUT, westerfield did murder the child...and he must pay.

Fabulous post on jury nullification. We should all remember its purpose the next time we are called to jury duty. The supreme court says that jurors have the right to judge the facts and the law. No piss-ant lower court judge has the right to say otherwise, and if he/she does, then she is lying and ought to be removed from the bench.

But Dusek didn't address it in his rebuttal argument. Some members of the jury surely recognized this omission and it will obviously be the subject of much discussion.
