Health officials have partially explained mysterious blobs that have been appearing in a New Jersey city.
They say the patches on streets in Camden are paraffin wax and pose no risk.
But they can't explain how they got there.
Paraffin wax is used in industrial processes and for making candles.
Camden County Health Department spokeswoman Lorraine Hynes said hot weather probably made the blobs more noticeable because they had melted into dark patches.
Resident Bonnie Sanders and other neighbours had feared the substance was harmful, and she still thinks the truth is being withheld.
"I believe they're covering it up, I really do," she said.
That's what I thought about my ex wife's family.
