"Let's say it was a "super patriot" who wanted to warn the country about the threat of anthrax ..."
illstillbe, may I join you in your nail spitting? That comment is beyond despicable. Idiot jerk media!

Guennie, I'm so glad everything went well today. Your hospitality was surely a blessing to those folks. The world would be such a better place if we had more thoughtful Guennies in it. As for your daughter and s-i-l, I'm envious! BTW, how would you feel about sharing your chocolate cake recipe?

bev, I'm so glad to hear that Larry's doing better (prayer power!) and that you're in such good shape yourself. Good news, indeed!

#127...I'll be glad to share my chocolate cake recipe...(it's a very moist cake, and freezes well!)

Chocolate Cake Recipe from Guennie :)

...2 Cups flour
2 Cups sugar
1 tsp.baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Cup water
1 Cup margarine
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 Cup buttermilk

Frosting:
1/2 Cup margarine
5 Tbsp. buttermilk
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 Cup chopped walnuts

Cake:...Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon.

In a medium saucepan, combine cocoa, water, and margarine.

Heat over medium high heat.

Bring to a boil, then pour over the flour mixture.

Stir well.
Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.

Pour into 12x18 inch pan or 9x13 inch pan.

Bake at 400 for 10 or 15 minutes in 12x18 pan or 15 to 25 minute in 9x13 pan.

While baking, mix frosting.

Frosting:
Bring margarine, buttermilk, and cocoa just to a boil...
...then add sugar, vanilla, and nuts.

Put on cake while warm.
