Gee, you would think those ancient aliens would at least have given us some really weird cool technology instead of stuff that we would come up with on our own a few thousand years later. I mean, who needs atom bombs and gliders? I want some anti-gravity shoes and matter transporters, and a ray gun!

Actually on the matter of 'anti-grav' shoes, whatever happened to all those promises we were given of how life would be in the year 2000? I remember watching programs like 'Beyond 2000' that showed all this cool 'inventions' that were supposed to make life amazing (read: floating cars, anti-grav skateboards, etc etc).

Yet it is 2002 and the only thing we have even close to such stuff is Ginger, the so called IT scooter!

What happened? Hey, maybe we can all get together and sue the media for giving us false dreams (it might work, after all everyone and their granny seem to be suing all and sundry)!

I'd prefer a visit from a very pissed-off, liberal-disliking alien with a robot like Gort in "The Day The Earth Stood Still."

How do you know we haven't developed all the before?

The physical nature of the universe would allow certain technological advances in order.

One could even call it technological evolution...

"I want some anti-gravity shoes and matter transporters, and a ray gun!"

Would you settle for one out of three?

I happen to be in the possession of a matter transporter. It was built about 24 years ago in Japan of all places, under the auspices of the Toyota Motor Company. The machine is marked "Celica", and I can vouch for its ability to move matter from one place to another at a very respectable clip.

So how much were you prepared to pay for a working matter transporter?
