she finds it impossible to believe that i did well enough to take algebra in 7th grade and that i even took a year of calculus in college, yet every vestige of math knowledge has been evacuated from my brain. she can't get how that happened. i think it was the 3 cases of childbirth i suffered in the latter years... i think many many brain cells die in that process.
