My soapbox issue of the day was triggered by watching the WorldCon execs getting arrested. These guys were in their young 40's. They have grown up in the times when all the "old-fashioned" morals were thrown out. Just as the sexual revolution was promised to usher in a new era, so was the "new economy" supposed to end the business cycle as we knew it.
However, despite attempts to badmouth the "old ways" in favor of the Brave New World, it's turned out that all these "new ways" were really based on lies and deceit. I'm imagining the WorldConMen saying, "Hey, look at this new way of accounting!"
Well, I'm off on another road trip to Baltimore Monday through Wednesday of next week. I'll check in when I can. The good news is that I have a club level see for the Orioles Tuesday night againt the Twins.
Unlike turpentine, turpitude causes stains. And now for today's poetry.
There are none so blind as won't see.

Moral turpitude,

Meanwhile, the network news people seem to insist on twerpitude for thier anchors.
That's what my mom tells GrimFreeper all the time, "Grandson, I think you gruesome."

When it was a missing persons case it was good to have their names and pictures out there, but the media should have never said what those poor girls went through. What an invasion of privacy.

Wasn't this California....I'm glad he's dead so he can't get out on parole again and do this all over again.
I'm still working on upload the picture, btw. The guy who had it on his PC accidentally deleted it, so I'll scan in the printed copy, and upload that.
