Clintoon IS very similar to JFK. The public just didn't know about all of the BS and perversions that Kennedy pulled! I didn't like him either and had to keep my mouth shut at the time. I think I was the only person in America who wasn't in mourning. Now, a lot of people are starting to recognize him for the puke he was. I blame HIM for our racial problems of today. Everything was going along good until him. Most white people felt the blacks got a raw deal and were wanting equality, and blacks didn't hate whites. Then along came Jack. Sorry, sore point with me. No exactly the topic here. LOL

You and I felt the same about JFK, too. I wasn't in mourning or grief when he was shot. I saw it happen on tv, like millions of other people. The only reason I saw it happen is because the channel I had on at the time, broke in to show the Dallas trip. Back then, I was a busy mom and our lives went on as normal. We didn't have cable, satellite or vcrs in those days and if you put the tv on, that was all that was on for a week.

I, also, saw Ruby shoot Oswald (the moment it happened.) I was busy doing something when I heard the announcer say, "They're moving Oswald now...", so I went and looked at the tv. I really felt sorry for Mrs. Oswald & her children. I was glad to learn how they got on with their lives.

I, too, blame JFK & the rest of that regime for the racial problems in the country. Which has spilled over into other countries, with the help of X42 & his regime.

No you weren't the only one. I was 15 at the time, a junior in HS.

When his death was announced over the school broadcast system, a few of us cheered (being the very immature youths that we were). Over the following days, I reflected and realized my behavior was wrong.

But in my conservative Republican household and circle of friends, it was no great loss. During the next year, I remember the fathers of two girls I dated, asking about my family's politics. Both were pleased to learn we were solid 1960s Orange County (CA) Republican. Then, it was okay to be a "Bircher."

JFK became an idol due entirely to his martyrdom/death. He accomplished nothing in policy. JFK handled the Cuba missile crisis pretty well, I admit.
