Oh stop it, you know you long to see Rosa DeLauro in a bikini.
Chung Slips Past Phil to Take SecondNEW YORK (Variety) - The yakker battle for second place in primetime between MSNBC's "Donahue" and CNN's "Connie Chung Tonight" is a photo finish -- with Chung hanging on by a hair.
Since Phil Donahue launched his gabfest on MSNBC's rejiggered primetime schedule July 15, he's averaged 620,000 viewers, compared with Chung's 746,000 in the same 8 p.m. hour, according to the final July Nielsen ratings. Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor," hosted by Bill O'Reilly, is well ahead of both, taking in an average total audience of just about 2 million. (MSNBC and Fox News reach fewer households than CNN.)
In total household ratings during the same time slot, Chung grabbed a 0.7 compared with the godfather of gab's 0.6. O'Reilly pulled in a 1.8.
But most news cable channels can boast a staggering amount of year-to-year viewership growth from July 2001 to July 2002.
In total day, CNN jumped 57% to an average of 514,000 viewers, while MSNBC is up 17% to 266,000. Frontrunner Fox News spiked 97% to 621,000.
Media watchers have attributed this mostly to post-Sept. 11issues and persisting interest in the faltering stock market. "This July has been a much stronger month for news," said Tim Brooks, a ratings guru who is senior VP of research for Lifetime Networks.
Brooks thinks that the CNN-Fox News rivalry has bolstered interest in cable news. "Two powerhouse networks competing in a given category will enhance both of them," he said. "Just look at Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network."

That's really too bad. Since Phil has become Ralph Nader's biggest cheerleader. I want more and more dims to fall in love with Ralph. Dims really deserve their very own Ross Perot.

Animal rights activists Advocates for Animals have announced July 30, 2002 that they are outraged by reports stating that the Scottish zoo had allowed Leo and Cleo to commit incest calling it 'irresponsible, unethical and totally unacceptable.' I bet this same group supports GAY rights and are pro-Choice. Funny how that is.

I didn't know she was a smoker. Look at her yellow teeth. She needs Brite Smile, or something. I wonder if she has to go outside to smoke when she was Attorney General?

From Inside the Beltway, today....
On Crossfire yesterday, a question to Paul Begala from a student:
"Paul, my name is Jamie from Palm Beach, Florida. I'm wondering if you ever get tired of being Clinton's lackey by putting a clean face on all his wrongdoings and scandals."
Mr. Begala
........"I will tell you what, I would much rather have a guy who was in bed with a young girl than a guy who's in bed with Enron, and that's what we've got now. So we've just got a difference of opinion, brother. Thank you very much for your question."source
To: daisyscarlett
Good for the questioner Jamie. Begala is an apologized for the Impeached President.
