And we are rolling now, on a day that promises to be "cooler" in our Nation's capital. That is, if 95 can be considered cooler.

Good morning! It looks to be hot here all week as well.

I hope there is some cooling in the Midwest before you set out on your trip. Even with A/C in the car, it is not comfortable when the temperatures hover in the 90's. (Thet trip I made west years ago was during a hot spell, and I remember!)

I think the report of us not invading Iraq before next year is disinformation.

Last evening I was watching the panel on Special Report with Brit Hume. Bill Kristol of all people said something quite interesting it seems back in September after 9/11 the House and Senate passed resolutions giving the President authority to fight the war on terror.

Now here is the part that has me convinced we will launch our attack on Iraq without getting approval.

I found this ...on a Congressman's web site..

Since the attacks, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed the following measures:

• Use of Force: The House and Senate passed a resolution authorizing the President to use “all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons.” (S.J.Res. 23; H.J.Res. 64)

Rumsfeld yesterday started making the case for invasion of Iraq by stating Al-Qaeda is in Iraq today...you might say they are harboring them.......

President doesn't need prior Senate or House approval to launch they gave it to him back in September!!!
