Hi there. I'm back from class. My feet are killing me. I have sat down exactly twice (not counting driving) since I left FR today. I need new feet, you just got yours worked on (tuned up, whatever), can I borrow them? ;>)

Not a toothbrush but his ..... hehehe!
Of course, that would actually despoil the latrine.

I wouldn't want him around the latrines. We try to keep those sanitary. He can stay outside.

Get those feet up in the air. Trust me on this one. "Propping" really does work.
Of course, a little ibuprofen doesn't hurt, either.:)

Is despoil the same as unspoil? That is one of those english words I really hate because it kicks in my programmer's sense of spoil(negate). Granted, it's a valid word, and it means exactly what you intended in the context you used it, but
it looks like it shouldn't. < /rigid world view rant> grin!

Like "unravel" and "irregardless"???:)

I don't have ibuprofane(lol) but I do have asprin. It's mostly my toes and knees that are suffering. The boots are ok for walking and sitting, but I'm going to get blisters and calluses (callusi?) from standing.
I'm thinking about excising the (very comfortable) insole out of my expensive running shoes and using them for inserts in the 80 lb combat boots. Granted, it would ruin the shoes, but Trill can buy me more later. ;>)

How about if I just say it'll make 'em filthy and gross? That work for you? .... *grins*
We were definitely on the same wave length, John!

"unravel" and "irregardless"Argh!!!!! That could push me over the edge. And the new one: Dethaw. ARGH!!!!!! Time for a smoke break. Gotta go outside for that. Back in a bit.

What about ice packs on them, John?
What do you think, Mozie?
It helps with swelling (which I'm sure you have even if it doesn't really show up) ..... and would just have to feel good in this hot weather. Just be careful not to get "freezer burn."
And though I always have a hard time convincing hubby of this, there is a lot to be said for just rubbing some kind of hand/body cream or lotion on them ..... one of those little tricks us women know that men don't want to think about or do.

Well for heaven's sake take a couple aspirin. And get yourself some of that bandage-tape stuff to use on the areas most likely to blister. A little preventative action goes a long way.
I'm sure if you just explain that the boots are not comfy, they'll let ya wear your running shoes, n'est-ce pas???? ;^)

That work for you? What you originally posted was correct usage and a valid english word that meant exactly what you intended. Not to mention adding the pejorative "spoil", which works so well with X42.
Twas no fault with the word. Just my neurotic tendencies kicking in after a long day. GRIN!

Yes! Ice works wonders.
To: JRandomFreeper
That was a quick smoke.....
To: JRandomFreeper
I knew that, John. I was just joshin' with you ... :-) ...and that really is too fancy a word to use about x42
...... but I don't say the kind of words that are really appropriate ..... *grins* ... they're not very .. um .. ladylike .....

You are right. All of the really appropriate words I never say in mixed company.
But I'm breaking down a bit. How hard is it to remember to walk on the RIGHT side of a hallway? The training facility is mixed AF and Navy. I will not disparage another branch, but I'm glad I'm AF.
The Navy pukes don't like being corrected by AF NCOs. Too bad. I've taken to leaving my teeth out, and I've spread a rumor about why I'm 40 and still only an E-4 (and only have part of my teeth). I may not be tall, but the brats with an attitude have not pushed it too much.
