From arms inspector to documentary film maker. My, what a versatile man Mr. Ritter turns out to be.

Yeppers lysie, I switched to from listening to smooth Jazz to CNN to catch Ritter, and I got a big ole ugly mug of the Jesse Jackson! I'm back to smooooooth jazz!

The Cardinal in the Kremlin is a Jack Ryan book, Red Storm Rising is not.

You have a strong stomach,CR. I can no longer watch anything but Fox News. It is much too expensive for me to replace the destroyed TV's when I watch the DNC channels.

Thanks ladies for your concern.
More storms are starting to build in the west again. We may have to batten down the hatches once more.
I'll let you all know how things went in the morning.
Mozie... We will be in Green Bay for the weekend. We should be able to make one of the Masses at St. Patrick's.
We will however be staying at the Best Western Inn and Suites. Regency was booked.
Have a geat night y'all!

Now I take it that Red Storm Rising and Cardinal and the Kremlin are not in the Ryan series?Red Storm Rising is not part of the Jack Ryan series, but it's probably the most fun you'll have in any of Clancy's books. Cardinal of the Kremlin is part of the Jack Ryan story and is probably the most interesting Cold War, spy vs. spy book of them all.
On a technichal note, in the Jack Ryan chronology Patriot Games came first, followed by The Hunt for Red October, Cardinal of the Kremlin, Clear and Present Danger, Sum of All Fears(which is by far the most intense read), Debt of Honor, Executive Orders, and The Bear and the Dragon.

I hope you are correct in that prediction. I have never seen such a reversal as this man has made, and the only thing that makes sense is money, and plenty of it.

This seems to be an interesting trend. People who have been formerly identified with/as conservatives or republicans, who have nothing but vitriol now. I believe we're beginning to root 'em out!

Isn't Slick just incredible? He knows there is noooo way any army would ever take him, and so he can say what he wants, and the audience just eats it all up. He's a legend in his own mind...

If anyone believes that blarney, let me know. I have some water front property in Arizona I want to sell.

I'm with you, make x42 put his money where his big ole mouth is. I loathe and despise that man and the woman he calls his wife...

What jumped to my mind was the day he told a bunch of gun grabbers that he had renounced his lifetime membership in the NRA. The crowd went wild. Funny thing is, he had never joined the NRA(as they rightly and immediately pointed out).
I guess we can lump this in with the Jackie Robinson, Rosa Parks, and black churches burning in Arkansas mythology of his mind.

Since 42 has SSAs all around him...guess they would do the fighing for him.

Perhaps Dubya could call in a favor from Sharon:
"Yo, Ariel, I have somebody who wants to join the IDF. Think you can shoehorn him in?"
To: costking
" if you buy that, I'll throw the Golden Gate in free." :-)

I seem to remember a movie a few yaears ago,"Sex, Lies and Video Tape". I never saw the movie, but it must have been a biography of UOX42.
