I tend to agree with you about the efficacy of vaccines though. If it were true that they were ineffective and that the risk of the vaccine exceeded the disease, I presume we would have discovered that long ago and ceased to use them.

When I was young, we all lost friends or neighbors to polio. After we were vaccinated with the Salk Vaccine, the losses stopped. Maybe it was just a coincidance.

When I was young, all children were expected to get the basic childhood diseases of Rubella, meassels, Chicken Pox, and Mumps. They started vaccinatig children for these and now no one gets them. Maybe that is a coincidance too.
