I've always wondered how you open a sterile sheet, spread it out, move a body to it WITHOUT getting any fibers from clothes you happen to be wearing on the sheet. Now if you happen to wear a uniform or standard pants/shirt/jacket and then you, or someone also wearing similar clothes as you, goes through an RV, house and SUV how do you keep cross-contamination from happening. I would think LE would normally have to take samples of clothing worn at crime scenes, especially if no other common source is identified.

The testimony on the fiber said they were similar but not necessarily from the same source. PLEASE read the court transcript. In other words. You have blue carpet in your car, I have blue carpet...same company...same brand Not same source.

Never, in the history of trial testimony, is fiber evidence testified to as a "match" by the witness. Lawyers can and will use the term, though.

Wait and see what Dusek says in closing. He used the term "match" in his opening, I believe.

I would think that the LE questioned Neal, Lisa, the ex girlfriends and kids who lived with DW and anyone else familiar with the Westerfield home about sources for these fibers, especially the orange ones. So far, nothing has been shown to match. What fibers were in the VD home? To me, the fibers leave more questions than answers. I wish that Feldman had gone more into the "blood " evidence questions that you have brought up.

I've seen this done in other trials, as well as checking any unknown hairs, etc., on the body. If only to explain/eliminate those "unknowns". Like in this case, they didn't bother to eliminate or find a source for the dark short hair under her arm, except to check it against DW's. They SHOULD have checked for another source, but they didn't.

This is from Feldman's questioning of BVD at the PH...this is the THIRD time that Feldman tries to "refresh" BVD's memory on the subject of inviting Bill Libby to Dad's "because his wife is out of town".

It appears that Feldman is using Bill Libby's police interview to impeach BVD.

Something happening there...maybe BVD figures that DVD prefers Barb, so she needs to find a "date" for the night.

Maybe Barb has to find the date for BVD, so that Barb can have DVD...

I have lots of questions about Bill Libby...he and damon planning to go snowboarding at Libby's cabin, BVD inviting Libby to Dad's "because his wife is out of town", Libby heading up the donation campaign, LIBBY NOT BEING CALLED BY THE PROSECUTION (to tell us about the cancelled trip, the phone call, etc.)

If Dusek used "match" and not "similar", then he lied to the jury. Because that's not what the forensics testified to. They all said, "similar", to the fibers.
