If you look at the swirls in the circle, there's two areas that have been matted down like balding hair, one on the top and one on the bottom. The rest is just matted. If you look at the recent 2002 images on this thread, you'll see the difference in the manner in which the wheat is layed down. The same characteristic applies to other formations considered authentic, and that is what I tried to state earlier. I had mentioned it as the "weaving" of the wheat.
Now if that were a biker circle, the words "Show Me Your" would procede the word currently there... :)
