One other point to my post #570 - please note that the mower has a blade which cuts the grass, and the mower deck then bends the uncut grass. The grass blades are not broken, crushed or damaged by the mower deck. They are simply bent. Thus the ability to create patterns in the mown lawn.

The jist of what you are saying is that crop circles a made with lawnmowers, right? Gee, I suppose I could go make one out in my yard. I feel sorry for the person who had to mow THIS yard...

Incidently, it was reportedly RAINING the night of August 13, 2001 in Wiltshire, UK. That is the date and location that this crop circle was created! Hard to mow a lawn in the rain, especially without leaving footprints, of which there weren't any...
