They did not have a monitored alarm. Apparently they never set the alarm either. However, it still had the zone signals, and we know it is very loud.

This brings up another problem, I was going back to the first versions of this tragedy. The original times were:
Pizza party arrived closer to 2:30 and the departure time was after 4:00. It appeared from the article (around 2/8) that the doors were found open at the same time. Could be just the reporter, but maybe not. I still have problems with that scenario. It don't add up, noppers. Were they expecting more guests to show up? So testimony, prosecution's theory and everything else is based on a lie? Where pray tell, is the justice in that?

If DW's story had changed as many times as the VD's, the LE would have arrested him immediately. Why were the supposed last people to see her alive given a pass? And after they lied to begin with.

I keep wondering about the chewed up dog bed and why it was important enough for Dusek to remind PDvD to include it in the testimony:

Actually you want the whole--from after putting Derrick to bed,too?Q: Did you do something with the dog after you put Derrick to bed? A:Put Derrick to bed.Went in our room. The dog had chewed up her dog bed ,and I took the dog bed downstairs to the laundry room,put it in the laundry room and let the dog out back to go to the bathroom. Time-around 10:45--11:00 I don't know.

Do you see any importance in this testimony? What does it explain relevant to the missing Danielle? PDvD left it out of his evening chores so Dusek poked him to include it in court.I ask....What color was the dog bed? What happened to it? Why did dog Layla chew up her bed? Was it an re-occuring problem or a sign Layla was upset about something that was happening in another part of the house and she was unable to get out the master bedroom?

I fail to see the revelance of the chewed up bed and the need to include it in the testimony. Filling time,trying to make it seem PDvD was giving every little detail of everything that happened while he was home alone with the children?
