I think I may have read that book.
Is the guy a surgeon?
Drawing a total blank on the book's title.

CRS syndrome. ;-)

The book I read made me plenty happy
to have never had the desire to scale Everest.

hi loddy
the book I am reading is
''Into Thin Air''
by Jon Krakauer
he grew up in Seattle, may still live there now
he was a climbing bum in his youth, supported himself by working on salmon boats and carpentry
now he is a writer
I am surprised how many of the other members of the expedition were doctors tho
(altho one worked for the post office)
reading this book convinces me too not to have desire to climb Mt Everest
the book is intense and passionate (well written) cause trouble occurred on his expedition
and he wrote the book to gain understanding
Love, Palo
