You remind me of myself sometimes with my debit card...I use at at the supermarket, and close my eyes and squint, when waiting for the approval thingey to come up...

Heck, tho, one time it would not come up with approval...and I knew there was money in there...man, I was sweatin...so then they tried another machine..and it still would not work...then they used my card like a credit card instead of a debit card, and it worked...

Came to find out, that I had enough money in the account, but for some reason, my bank had some odd malfunction in their computer, and kept ringing up disapproval whether you had money there or not....

But I still close my eyes, every time I use that card...

Some of the banks do batch processing, so even if you have money, you can be declined.You'd have to check to see if your account works in real time.Plus, at times they put a limit of say $3000 that will be run through before holding for another day.
