I did not know that le Habs ate raddichio sandwiches...I have never tried it...it might actually be good...
My brother was also a very big boy, and a huge eater...one time when he and I were in our later teenage years, my parents went fishing and camping, and we did not want to go with...I had a hot date, I suppose, and my brother had something else going on, so my parents went on their weekend fishing trip, and me and my brother stayed home...my aunt and uncle lived downstairs, and would keep an eye on us, and were there if we needed help...
Anyway, I was a pretty good cook even as a teenager...so my brother was out somewhere, and so I cooked dinner...I made a great big round steak with tomatoes, and onions and sauce, and it looked yummy...after I finished cooking one of my girlfriends wanted me to go out with her shopping for a little while....so I went and left a note on the stove, telling my brother dinner was in the pan, and he should heat it up and serve himself....
Well, it was a great big pan full of round steak and the veggies, and I figured it was enough to serve 4 regular eaters, so it should be enough for him and me...
When I got home from shopping with my girlfriend, I was so hungry, and got ready to heat myself up some roundsteak...I opened the lid on the pan, and YIKES...all the food was gone...my brother ate every single bit of the round steak and veggies...
He relates how he was in his room, and heard the blood curdling scream, coming from my big mouth in the kitchen, calling him a pig....He thought everything in that pan was for him, and so he ate it all....
Gosh, I was mad...spent all that time cooking, and never got one bite...my poor brother, I sure ranted at him...he did not care tho...his tummy was full, and said if I had not wanted him to eat all that food, I should not have left it in the pan...I should have taken out my portion and put it in the fridge for later consumption...
But I never thought any human being could eat that much in one setting, as my brother ate that evening...
Little did I realize that my own son would have such a big appetite, and be able to eat just as much as my brother did on that night...
