Unless they have changed, Texas schools get money based on attendance also......... so every day your child is not in that building, they don't get that money..........
That was why they pushed attendance so hard.......for the money........... so pulling my child out took away X number of dollars every single day..........
oh yeah. I forgot. They count attendance at 10 a.m. (or so)
