Wonderful sites, Tx! Thank you!

Yesterday I took the *entire* day to reorganize the 'school area'. whew! I've downsized my supplemental books and labeled the shelves, etc....cleaned up and bindered and all that good stuff.

Before turning in last night I opened all the cupboards and drawers and wistfully gazed at my handiwork. LOL

I agree! I saw somewhere that this was for 4/5 grade (?), but I can definitely use it with my 9th grader. I have a list of American artists he needs to study and nearly all of them were on that list. He will read about each of them and then create something in their style. This fit in so well!

I was planning to start after Labor Day. I still have to get a couple more books and I'm waiting on Saxon to arrive, etc. I spent most of the afternoon yesterday penciling in their schedule for the first 2 months or so of school. You?

I haven't begun planning out the first few months yet...and I always use pencil for that...LOL

Rec'd the last of my basic school needs yesterday and will use the library for supplemental books for history.

Are you doing Latin this year?

Need to head out this morning and pick up a planner...

**Yes, we are going to work on Latin this year **

Hmmm...with Abeka Grammar/Composition, Spelling/Vocabulary, and Spanish I, would it be too much to add Latin as well?

I need help in that area. My daughter *really* wants to take Spanish. She'll also be taking a Speech class (very necessary imo). I'm not going to go gung ho on the Abeka Grammar/Comp..we'll take it easy there. She'll be learning some Latin/Greek terms in History..perhaps for 7th grade that would be sufficient? Suggestions?
