What a great thread! I think you should leave it up because unbelievable as it is there are people on this forum who are not registered to vote. Being so close to the 2002 elections we need to remind people. Especially the ones who shoot their mouth off around here and haven't voted in years or not registered at all.

Even before the big dust-up at the Tipper Gore appearance, Ben Wetmore was a gadfly of some notoriety at American University. The poli-sci major from Texas had elbowed his way into the ranks of student government but ended up getting impeached after a dispute with fellow legislators. [snip]

Good morning. Another reminder - continue to write those letters to the editor! We discussed that at our county GOP meeting last night. People do read the letters in their morning papers, and there's so much disinformation out there (courtesty of Tommy Daschle, et al.) that we need to combat. Our Republican so-called leaders in Congress can be a bit spineless when it comes to standing up to the Dems and contradicting their lies, so it's up to us. Today's topic: lying about Bush and Cheney's ties to nasty corporations while Mrs. Daschle rakes in the dough and compromises airline safety.
