TOLEDO -- A Toledo woman wants answers, after police discovered nude photos of her sister in the debris of an east side fire. 45-year-old Gabriel Garza appeared in court yesterday to answer charges of pandering obscenity involving a minor and gross sexual imposition. On Sunday, Garza's Willard Street home burned to the ground and four girls died in the fire. But after searching the scorched remains of the house, investigators found a lot of pornographic pictures, which included nude pictures of children.
Detectives brought one of those pictures to a Toledo woman, and she identified it as her sister. She says her sister first came forward with the allegations last year. "My sister come to me and she said that he had given her alcohol and that he had asked her and the other girls that were there to dance naked." said the victim's sister.
A police report was filed last August accusing Garza of supplying kids with alcohol, and taking naked pictures of six kids between the ages of 11 and 14. Police chief Mike Navarre says Internal Affairs is trying to figure out why the case was never investigated. "If it would have been then this fire wouldn't have even happened, because Gabe would be in jail over it," said the victim's sister. "And none of this stuff would have ever happened and these girls, nothing would have even happened to them if this was investigated like the police should have done," she said.
Police say they have 6 bags filled with child pornography pictures that survived the fire at Garza's home. Some of the pictures appear to be downloaded from the Internet but detectives believe other photographs were taken by Garza himself. The woman we talked with says a detective visited her family yesterday and showed a naked picture of her teenage sister. "This is just sick. This is just beyond sick. It's a mental thing and he needs very bad help," said the victim's sister.
Gabriel Garza is a water distribution clerk in the city's Department of Public Utilities. He is currently suspended with pay. Investigators haven't found the cause of the fire yet.

Hmmm.. Yet another pervert taking the lives of children. The penalty should be a public hanging, to send a message to the other molesters out there.
There is no excuse for Garza's actions. However, the 'victim' appears to have willingly participated which does not say much for her values.
