THE Aussie tabs overestimated Bill Clinton when they reported the Horndog-in-chief was cavorting Down Under with New Zealand TV dish Charlotte Dawson. Sources close to the busty blonde report Dawson is actually romping with one of Bubba’s Secret Service men.
"She hit it off with one of Clinton’s younger, fitter, more strapping, macho security guys," the tipster tells PAGE SIX. Soon we’ll all be able to get an eyeful of the "How’s Life" hostess, since Dawson’s bodyguard beau is a New Yorker who’s about to fly her here for a romantic rendezvous.
IT'S been a while since Mayor Mike Bloomberg was a practicing Democrat, [What, about two minutes?] but he is still comfortably at home with his nominal opposition. Former City Council President Andrew Stein, a Democrat, gave a dinner for his Hizzoner at La Grenouille the other night at which everyone praised Bloomie for his management skills.
Peter Peterson and Joan Ganz Clooney were the nominal GOPers present along with Nick Pileggi and Nora Ephron, Barbara Walters, the Martin Scorseses, and former Random House editor Helen Morris.
As reported here at the Guild last week, Bloomberg recently dined with Terry McAuliffe. Republican, my Aunt Fanny!
