I flew to Reno when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant, and I was glad the plane wasn't crowded. I was flying for two, but did not want to pay for two.

Airlines are usually very accomodating and when the cabin isn't full they certainly do not object to larger or taller passengers using two seats. The same is true of a mother with a toddler.
