My wedding wasn't extravagant at all... would not have made sense. It was pretty and special, but not wasteful.
Only one of my friends had a wildly expensive wedding, and it wasn't any more fun or meaningful than the other weddings I was in or had attended.

I can imagine that there are some very difficult-to-please people though.

If you want to please people you should become experienced with computer morphing software. That plus Photoshop and Corel Graphics can usually produce a pleasing image.

With the average being $20,000 I think a wedding would have torun over $100,000 to qualify as expensive.

Wouldn't it be better if the bride's father just gave the couple a house?

Well y'all, I guess I'd better get to my room and take a shower and think about getting some supper. I might check back later...or not. Have a good night and be good!

Most of the new WTC propasals are lame. Either build it bigger, or the terrorists have won!

It was a few years ago, and the bride and her husband paid for it -- they had lived together for many years and already had a house, children and an ambulance company and were wealthy on their own.

I agree. I think 200 stories is about right, and if they want a memorial, put it on the roof next to the anti aircraft guns. That's Jonah Goldberg's suggestion

The towers were different heights. The South tower was 1,362 feet tall, and big brother North tower was 1,368.

The technology or money may not be there, but a tower 2,843 feet tall would be fitting... or two towers 1,422 feet tall.

Witness Tampering Alleged in Flt. 587 Probe

A group of eyewitnesses to the Nov. 12 crash of American Airlines Flight 587 are charging that the National Transportation Safety Board has engaged in deliberate cover-up; complaining that investigators have ignored their accounts of a fiery midair explosion and even tried to persuade some of them to change their story.

This has been off the radar screen for awhile (no pun intended), sounds a little TWA 800'ish.

This makes no sense at all. It would be to the Bush Administration's advantage to make this look like a terrorist attack even if it wasn't. That would help build national feeling for a war on terrorism.

To tell the truth that it was an accident is reasonable.

To lie and say it was terrorism when it wasn't is reasonable.

To lie and say it was an accident when it was really terrorism would be insane. What could they possibly gain?
