we finally got rain on our boiling hot desert
the ground had heated up so much, I could not walk barefoot in daytime
a poster just said Phoenix received 2 inches in two hours, which is a lot for a city which only gets 9 inches a year
it brought down our temps too
last night was too hot to sleep
the water in public swimming pool has lost its frosty chilliness
but it still takes the heat right out of me
it is godsend on desert
