Dash-hole...Hahaha!
My hubby calls him DASS-hole. He shouted at the TV once when little Tommy was droning on and on, "That Dass-hole!"
Well the boys just burst out laughing hearing their daddy close to swearing.

They started telling us they had just finished White House duty with the toons, and Chelsea. They told us stories only people who were there would know. I totally believe this. My dad has always talked to everybody. It takes him and my mom forever to do anything in public because he will make a new friend where ever they go. Well, when he was a Marine (he'd say, "Once a Marine, always a Marine") in the 60's he ran into a fellow Marine who had the duty of guarding President Kennedy. This Marine said that the President usually treated them with respect, but that Jackie was just a witch on wheels! Treated them more like servants. For the life of me I cannot understand how someone could treat another person whose job it is to lay down thier life for you without the highest respect.

Go, Rummy, go. The Cast Avenger.LOL!! I hate looking at people in casts or bandaged up. It hurts me. I quess because I am so clumsy and have broken several fingers and my ankle, had severe sprains of everything, stiches just about everywhere, and fall down for no apparent reason and without warning I know what it feels like to feel like the walking wounded. At least his cast is from surgery, mine are usually from tripping over invisible objects or doing something stupid. I don't think Rummy let's it slow him down, though. I hope he's not in pain and wish him well.

BTW, how are things with your job?Okay for now. Thanks for asking. I read an article saying that Worldcom will decide in 3 weeks if they are going to declare bankruptcy (I don't think I spelled that right). I am sure whether they do or don't there will be another wave of layoffs. The department I work in is pretty necessary for the company to keep running smoothly but that doesn't mean my job is specifically needed to keep the company running smoothly. I just take things one day at a time and know that He will take care of me!

That sorts reminds me of one of our family vacations. We rented a house boat on Lake Meade for one week once and it was so relaxing...Slept and ate on the boat often on the top deck on sleeping bags. Saw very few people - did our own cooking. It was a terrific getaway and the kids had a great time and got to be in touch with nature 24/7. Of course coming and going was not much fun...we took everything the kitchen sink with us and it took many trips from our car to the boat to load everything and then unloading everything when we got back....

Before Chelsea surfaced as an intern at the World Health Organization, I was beginning to wonder where she was. After all, we hadn't heard from her since her "pukin' in the loo" incident several weeks ago. I'm happy to report that she was able to recuperate from that unfortunate incident by jetting off to sunny Spain for a stay at a 5-star hotel with the mop-topped Ian.

Here she is at the hotel. She asked the reporters to respect her privacy as she canoodled with young Ian and, apparently, they respected her wishes:
Chelsea explicó que su visita es privada, y solicitó con amabilidad a los periodistas que la identificaron en la noche ovetense que respetasen su intimidad. link, El Pais, June 28.

When people just think they see Jenna and Barbara it makes the mainstream press. We are going to be subjected to Chelsea for a long, long time, I fear.

HIV+, graced the cover of a glossy? Tom Cruise?
Over the hill musician? Sheesh, beats me but Van Cliburn and Barry Manilow spring to mind.

My favorite thing to do in summer, spring and fall is sail, sail, sail. Don't much care where. Just sail.
