OH! Maine!!! ... had I another life ... I would live it in a small seaport town in Maine ... collectin' shells and stories,, too ... how beyond cool, jtill!
Enjoy your Grandkiddos ... and squish some sand ... which may have traveled from as far away as Morocco ... buffeted and churned about by the seas ... soes it could kiss your toes ... *grins*

The "kids" don't live in a seaport town per se, but they live on the water. A cove near Bath, with the ocean not far away. It's lovely to sit on their deck with the water sploshing around and watch the fish, etc.
We will certainly be at the seashore and I'll be sure to squish that sand!
