Chair, check on the Hoover Dam site. My cousin, (her daughter just got married in Las Vegas) just told my Dad that the dam is closed due to security reasons. he wanted to take a trip there while in Las Vegas.

I have checked their site. The dam is OPEN, but vehicles are subject to search. Certain classes of vehicles are prohibited. These include vehicles that have boxes and other similar things that require a lot of opening to look into.

It is possible I will not be allowed to pass over the dam (luggage). I've planned for that possibility.
