My friends had a baby a couple years ago. The doctors tried to persuade them the entire length of the pregnancy to abort because the baby had about 10 things wrong with it. They carried the baby to term despite the doctors' dire predictions and delivered a perfectly healthy baby.

what is the Doctor's motivation for aborting? Are they trying to shield themselves from some kind of lawsuit? Is it more cost effective? I mean, I hope it is neither of these reasons, but it just seems like they have no reservations about suggesting it.

One of the coaches' wives at the University I graduated from had triplets not too long ago. I remember him saying that the Doctors were very nonchalant about suggesting that they abort one, maybe two of the babies to make it more likely for the other(s) to make it. They refused, and all three babies were just fine. Could you imagine the guilt that you would feel knowing that you killed a perfectly healthy baby for no reason? What if something turned out to be wrong with one of the survivors? Would you feel you aborted the wrong one? UGH!! That is why people should not play God.
