Father, thank You that all wisdom and understanding belongs to You. Thank You that as we can tolerate it, You reveal Your truths to us. Increase our capacity for knowledge and understanding that we may see Your glory in all its magnificence and magnitude.
Let us look to the Heavens in awe and marvel at the works Your hands have created...let us look to each other with the same reverance and amazement as we consider our brothers and sisters. Let us rejoice in both our kinship and diversity, and revel in Your love as siblings. Help us always to treat each other with honor and respect, for You created each of us from nothing...and without You, we would each return to nothing. But You have vowed to preserve us and gather us to You at the appropriate time. Thank You, Father, for these tender mercies. Thank You that we will not cease to exist when we die, but rather be joined together as one people, one family, for all eternity.
Father, this day I again ask Your blessings and protection to flow around us and our loved ones. Create order and harmony where chaos and confusion exist. Release my precious brothers and sisters from the bondage of previous abuses and injury, that we might all share in the delight of the life You have given us. Let true love increase and utterly displace the evil that infiltrates our daily lives. Grant us the deep desires of our hearts that are in keeping with Your will. Thank You, Father! In Jesus' precious name I ask these things...Amen!
It is her 18th birthday today, and she promised she would call. I just got off the phone with her...brothers and sisters, it's been nearly 11 months since I last spoke with her. You can imagine the tears that are flooding my keyboard. She says she will try to come home next month. :)
Thank you all for your prayers, and please don't stop. Now we have to get her home and work out the problems.
I think I will turn now to a little private time of prayer and thanksgiving...
