Easy there Jhoffa.... more bitter than you should be in that post... you are furthering the "us" against "them" mentality you are condemning.

Vacuuming is never a moral dilemma for me.Nomination for quote of the day.

Alright - I'm revisting my reading basics. While I'm at it, maybe you should revisit "supporting your posts."
A lot of these guys posting today sound so full of loathing of women as to be ready to kill us all.
As I've said several times before, I didn't see loathing of women. I saw men that were sick and tired of the attitudes that women are displaying, as well as being sick and tired of the justice system. But hey, since I'm male and that's my point of view, I guess that's a childish thing - at least, from your point of view.

Of course the answer is no. Because the next response would have been some asinine exception to one law, somewhere, in some jurisdiction. Haven't you ever argued with a knothead before?
They sidestep real issues with cheap semantics so they can waddle smugly away with their "victory." Knotheads can't stick to the subject, and that's who I means by "they." Anyone can feel free to wear the shoe if it fits.

I don't know what variations you are talking about specifically. But the meat of the article has to do with an inherent bias in our Courts.
The men get soaked and the women get rewarded. And that's fine when the men are in the wrong, but this happens regardless of their guilt or innocence.
It's bias and it's unfair to reward a spouse for cheating or otherwise causing a marriage failure at the expense of the spouse who is blameless.
And imo, gender roles don't apply.

Ok, fine. We'll word it your way then, dearie. And I'll add a word or two more
As I've said several times before, I didn't see loathing of women. I saw men that were sick and tired of the attitudes that women are displaying, as well as being sick and tired of the unfair treatment men are receiving under the family court legal system.

"Dearie", how sweet. You are displaying some telling attitude here. Well, I figured with the attitude you were displaying earlier, I might as well play up to the role completely. Besides, all you know me from is here - that shouldn't stop you from judging completely.
After all, that is what you're doing, isn't it? You're playing the judge, the jury, and from what you've written previously - you have the desire to be the executioner as well.
No experience or treatment that any man on here has had is reason enough for him to be upset about - at least from your point of view. We're childish, immature, and we all desire to own (chattel, remember?) stupid women.
As long as we're talking about "telling attitudes," maybe you should go take a long hard look at your own.
Dearie....

Oh! The broad (ahem) brush again..
How nice to have a universal excuse to bias our courts.

So what do we do about the inherent bias in our courts?
Right now, the way I see it, women get the kid, and get to stay in the "child's home" often enough....
Men get weekends, and get to write checks for undocumented "child support" costs. I have argued before with one of my "she" friends who has the nice house on five acres with horses, a good job, and one son.
She is receiving several hundred dollars every month from a good enough man who she just didn't feel like marrying when she got pregnant. He lives in an old trailer and can hardly afford to build his own life now, writing checks to her.
So how do we solve that? he should pay some support costs, but I would propose it should be half of the documented costs of the child each month... not an entitlement to the mother, but an actual discussion about what the child needs, and the cost should be split in half.

I think my generation expects marriage to be easy, when in actuality it does require some work. You're correct, and not just work but compromise and putting the marriage itself before any selfish interests. I think people expect that marriage doesn't require them to give up even one iota of their self-centeredness, and that's where so many fail. After marriage, it's not just "you" and "I" anymore - it has to be "we" to succeed.

It's been said for the 4 years that I have been here. We also had men here posing as women who said it was a great idea. And that's why any woman worth her pumps should be the strongest 2A supporter around. I own propewrty, I pay taxes on that property. Don't want me to vote? Don't expect to get any tax money out of me.
To: HairOfTheDog
You also need to look at who is more capable of rearing the child in a loving home.
Hint (and I'm sure you're already aware of it): It ain't always the mom.
