I have a wonderful painting of the waterfront just to the east of Walker's Point which I picked up last summer on a swing through Kennebunkport. It is signed by the artist, who also has a pic hanging in the George Herbert Walker Bush Presidential Library, at my alma mater, Texas A&M University, and I treasure the painting.
May George Walker Bush have a fantastic birthday today and may all those who love him dearly rejoice in the fact that God blessed us with him!

Beautiful Thread! Thanks for all the work and the continuing Guild!

Wow, what a thread. Just got back from dropping of dh at the airport for his trip to England. There were police all over the place, which was comforting to see. Poor dh was nervous, but excited. I feel like I'm holding my breath every time he gets on a plane. Although rationally I know I'm at greater risk driving home from the airport, I still get worried.
On a happier note, my Bare Minerals eye shadow arrived. I ordered the Nob Hill, Root and Green Tea colors. The Nob Hill looks horrible on me, but the other colors are great. I'm not used to wearing such dark shadow on my eyes, but the color looks surprisingly nice.
I think I'm going to take the kids swimming....DH's plane hasn't even left yet and the kids are already driving me nuts!

Austin leaders dream and scheme and tax us so that we can be like Portland or Seattle. The dim/libs controll the city and county governments, but post 9.11 some conservative candidates have stepped up to run.
We'll see what happens in November.

Notice he knows how to wear the hat. Whenever Clinton had one it was always tilted at a funny angle.

Hello - here's a photo showing the President at work. (I actually posted it to the 9-13-02 dose thread by mistake - most of those photos are no longer viewable :-(......
But here he works on a speech - one of the many wonderful speeches of his Presidency:

Clinton's tilted at a funny angle - that's why we call him bent.

Here's one that I call "Loving guy." I believe it was at this very moment that America learned who George W. Bush really was.......a compassionate, loving, honest, and tough man who could be trusted to bring an evil enemy to justice. IMO, that's why no slander by the RATS or the media will stick.
This is a man who can love, and do his job at the same time, and America knows it.

Kayak, we've got so many favorite pictures of THIS President!!! I like the white cowboy hat one and the back view of the President's muscular legs from jogging.....whew!
BWBEtty, thanks for working your fingers to the bone putting up this WONDERFUL edition of the Guild so we can also celebrate. Boy, am I glad that 56 years ago this little lad was born!!!
These pictures and all my ooooooooohs brought my 3 visiting teen grand daughters over to the computer to see if I had fainted or something........NOW there are 3 more Bush Babes!! (They thought the black and white pictures were "cool"!)

Amen! Yes, we did! And he was saying, "I will not just send a cruis missile into some empty desert tent" - or something close to that (someone got the exact quote?) - telling all of us that President Bush DOES understand what he inherited and why America is in such danger from these Jihadists.......even if he cannot say so openly. That comment was about as open a criticism of the former unmentionable occupant of the White House that we have had from President Bush.

(Tell them, welcome, welcome, welcome! To the President Bush Admiration Society! :-)

ROFL, Lodwick! You post the best stuff!
Sa-lute!
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
Something like "I'm not going to send a 2 million dollar cruise missile into a 10 dollar tent and hit the backside of a camel." Is that about right?!
Loved that not too veiled criticism of the debauched one!
Thanks for that chainsaw picture, FWI! I hadn't saved that one!
