A friend of mine has a Jack Russell Terrier. We were out in the parking lot of an office building, when several groups of people came out of the building and walked by us. The dog ignored most of the people, but when a couple of black people walked by, he started barking and barking. My friend told me that the dog for some reason always barks at black people. ????

Some dogs are just racists. Of the three Pekes I have had, two loved the Mexican yard crew we used and followed them around. The third hated themand had to be locked up when they were there. They were the only people she ever tried to bite.

Crystal always growled at the black neighborhood kids when she saw them out the window. I didn't raise her from a pup, but I aleays tried to instill tolerance. Wierd stuff. She also barked at the UPS truck but not the Fed-Ex truck.. I swear!

It's not so mysterious. They just smell different. It is not uncommon for a dog that is most always around white people to react that way to black people, and vice versa.
