I have not had a canolli, since we left Chicago, and left my husbands aunt back there...they sure were a treat tho...she always made plenty when we came to visit...we had some there, and then she always gave us a plateful to take home...

I never had homemade cannoli
I bet that is good
the italian cafes in my old neighborhood sold them
people would go there for a cup of cappucino and a cannoli
I would always throw the ball for my dog Clio in the school playground
and then stop at italian cafe across street to bring cannolis home
for some reason in my neighborhod both italian cafes were on E 11th Street
and school playground was on E 12th Street
(I think they were sprinkled with green hard titbits too?)
