Well, finally got myself here, and since there was so much action this morning on DD, I see everyone is now taking a rest...
I just stayed up really late last night, watching a 3hr mystery on the BBC channel...it did not wrap up until 3am, and by the time I quit puttering around, and got to sleep, it must have been 4am or so...so got up late to begin with...
Then had to start getting things ready for the hubby...his oj and yogurt, followed by coffee...his getting up ritual...then an hour and 1/2 later, he is ready for dinner...and I still had to make and pack his extra large lunch for the middle of the night at work...plus play with and pet Dizzy, and feed him some snacks...
So it was a busy day here, and not much time to get everything ready, being as I was such a later riser today...
Weather here is still crappy...cool, and grey skies, and some showers...I am freezing, but refuse to turn on the heat...its just obscene, to have to use heat after July4th...I suppose I shall have to go back to my long underwear to keep warm....
News today, from Western Washington is still grim...three sailors from the Everett Naval station are in deep doo-doo....a young(14yrs old) girl came home and her parents found blood in their bathroom which came from her...they rushed her to a hospital, where her blood loss was severe enough to warrant a transfusion...
Apparently this young gal, along with two other teenagers, allowed themselves to get picked up by 5 sailors, and then they all proceeded to a Motel6, where booze and partying began...things got out of hand, and this young gal was raped by 3 of the sailors...one is in custody, and they authorities are on the search for the other two...they know who they are, so it will be only a matter of time, before they are caught...
These three young men have now ruined their lives...they will no doubt be facing jail time, a court martial from the navy, and a prison record, which will follow them everywhere...the young girl, has apparently been severely injured, and no doubt, she will be traumatized for a long time...
Its all so sad and senseless to me...several young people and their families, will now have a tragedy to cope with for the rest of their lives...
Like anywhere else, our military members are fine people, who willingly serve their country, and conduct themselves with honor and dignity...but like anywhere else, there are always those who bring dishonor upon themselves, and often by inference, bring dishonor upon their profession(which is wrong, but nonetheless occurs)
I am just praying that all those involved see the error of their ways and their behavior, and from this time forward, try to lead better lives...
So much for my rant of the day...

Afternoon Mom. Man, you guys need some sunshine and warmth.
People are going nuts with all this somber, crappy weather.
What kinda parents let fourteen years old put themselves where they can get picked up and gang raped?
God let the sun shine in WA - they need it badly. Amen
