Yuck. She looks terrible with blonde hair.
On a happier note, I just have to tell everyone how much I love my country.
Our community had it's annual 4th of July parade this morning and I was overwhelmed at the turnout and the patriotism there. About 1500 parents with their kids showed up and all of them were decked out in red, white, and blue. When the firetrucks came, the crowd hooted and clapped and basically gave the firefighters (men and women) a standing ovation. Very moving.
Along the way, people were singing patriotic songs and someone had a boombox playing Neil Diamond's "Coming to America". At that point I was in tears and my heart felt as if it would burst with pride. When we arrived at the end of the parade, there were about 4 different Boy Scout troops passing out cold bottled water and cookies, for which I will be eternally grateful. =)
Then, the firefighers turned on the truck hoses connected to the fire hydrant and all the kids went wild. I even took the baby under the water shower and she loved it.
It was a pretty incredibly morning.
