President Bush retained his sense of humor this week — despite the heat wave.
Joining wife Laura in a White House event Wednesday commemorating the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition, Dubya said: "It's fitting, and amazing, when you think about it, that we're holding this event here in the East Room, because this is where [Meriwether] Lewis lived when he was [Thomas] Jefferson's private secretary."
He added that "the second First Lady, ... Abigail Adams, actually used to hang the washing here. And I want to thank Laura for getting my underwear out before the event started."

So do I. But even more, I'd love a man that does his own laundry.
