WENT TO a swell lunch for Tina Brown at the Fifth Avenue apartment of Reba White Williams. It's always nice to go somewhere where someone is giving something for - no reason! Just fun and friendship.
Tina was celebrated by a clutch of handsome "girls in their summer dresses," including Diane Sawyer, Erica Jong, Karenna Gore Schiff, Joan Ganz Cooney, Marla Prather, Marie Brenner, Manuela Hoelterhoff, Jeanine Pirro (What no Chelsea and Hilly?!) and other charmers and fans.
The guest of honor looks like a new woman (She does? Looks to me like she's morphed into Hillary! Let's hope that's an old pic.) since she shook off the shackles of editing Talk, a magazine that the all-knowing, all-smirking publishing world never gave a chance. [snip] Link

Separated at birth? I report, you decide!
June 30, 2002 -- Hollywood producer Stephen Bing - recently pronounced the papa of Liz Hurley's baby - has settled another paternity-related feud with a fellow tycoon.
Bing sued MGM mogul Kirk Kerkorian, 84, in May, angry that a Kerkorian investigator sifted his trash seeking evidence that Bing fathered a child by Kerkorian's ex-wife.
The investigator found Bing's dental floss - which Kerkorian cited in court papers as proof Bing fathered his ex-wife's 4-year-old daughter.
This past week, the men plan to announce they've "amicably" settled their "outstanding differences . . . after getting to know each other and becoming aware of additional facts." Getting to know you, getting to know all about you....
Asked to elaborate, Bing attorney Marty Singer told The Post: "That's the only statement being issued."
Kerkorian has feuded with his ex-wife over child support.
Bing and Hurley have not resolved their own child support issues. She's reportedly seeking $450,000 a year.
