bill and I camped in adirondacks week of july 4th few years before we left nyc for tucson
we walked mountain trails to pristine lakes
when I finished swimmin' in one of them, I noticed grandfather with his 3 grandsons fishing at other end
when we were leaving I was surprised how enthusiastic they all were to meet me
''they sure are friendly here'' I said to bill as we were leaving
''they thought you were a mermaid'' he said
